There will be some travelling with the family and, at this time, along with the delivery of appropriate academic study, safe sporting activities should feature in the tutor's agenda. The wider the range of sports and activities the tutor can support the better.
Duties
In addition, the Tutor should be able to teach French to a reasonable level on an informal basis to the children's mother, at times convenient to the family.
Tutoring Scenarios
Scenario 1
The children will go to school, with the tutor providing after-hours support. The tutor will work a six-day week of approx 5 hours per day. This work will involve supporting the three elder children with their schoolwork, and extending their learning opportunities.
Scenario 2
Some or all of the children may be withdrawn from full-time education and enrolled in a distance-learning program supported at home by the tutor. If this becomes the family's preferred academic path, then the tutor should expect to work normal school hours with weekends off.
Other factors
The family expect the tutor to be sensitive to the family's status and the country?s values in all their actions and communications. The tutor should neither smoke nor drink alcohol.
A second tutor may be required to cover the summer vacation, unless the post-holder chooses to take this on. The remuneration will be ?1000 per week for up to 4 weeks. During the summer vacation, the work will usually be all day, every day.
Contractual details
- Start: As soon as possble
- Duration: Initially for one year, renewable by agreement
- Hours: Approx 40 hours per week
- Salary: The salary will be a generous £38,400 per annum
- Accommodation: Private, fully furnished accommodation will be provided, within the family\\\'s home on their secure compound in Riyadh
- Car: A car will be provided for the use of the tutor. (For a female tutor, a car and a driver will be supplied)
- Vacation: The tutor will get 7 weeks paid vacation per annum, with return air tickets provided
