An Irish family are seeking an exciting and inspirational educator as a full-time tutor for their four children. They will be travelling between various locations in the eastern USA, for a period of around 6 weeks, roughly between 19th February and 1st April 2005.

Duties

The two eldest children are girls, aged 15 and 13, and academically strong. The majority of the tutor?s work will be spent working with the girls. The tutor will need to liaise with their school and it is essential that he or she can support all core subjects ? this includes Maths, Science, Classical Studies, English, History, French, Art, Geography, plus a Social Sciences course. Preference will be give to applicants who can also teach one or two of these languages: Irish, Spanish or Japanese.

There are also two boys aged 5 and 3, and the Tutor will need develop some fun activities to help with their reading and writing skills.

Attributes

The tutor will need to be computer literate, musical, energetic and sporty. It is anticipated that the Tutor will take full advantage of the various interesting locations during the contract to enhance the learning experience.

Working week

The hours of work will need to be flexible to fit with travel arrangements, location changes, and other unpredictable circumstances. It is anticipated that the Tutor will not be expected to work more than 40 hours per week on average.

Contractual details

  • Start: 19th February 2005
  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, on average
  • Salary: £740 per week
  • Accommodation: The tutor will be staying in hotels, paid for by the client.
  • Car: No car - but the client will pay reasonable local travel expenses on days off.
  • Vacation: There will be no vacation time during the contract term.
