How to apply

1. Register

If you are interested in working with us, the first step is to register and fill in your profile - this usually takes about 15-20 minutes.

You can register without applying for a job. This lets you subscribe to job opportunities and saves time when you apply in the future.

Your profile must be complete in order to apply for jobs.

2. Apply

Once you are registered, you can make an application.

The application process requires answers to some job-specific questions. These take time to do well.

We advise that you only make an application for a job for which you are an exact (or very close) match. You will undermine our confidence in you if you regularly apply for jobs where your skills and experience do not match the specification.

3. Provide your references

We review all applications manually and only ask for references from the most promising.

We will need full contact details for three referees:

  • current employer
  • previous employer
  • character reference

It really helps if applicants contact their referees in advance. This is not only good manners, but also helps to ensure a more prompt response.

4. Preliminary meeting

If the references are good, you may be invited to meet with our client account manager. These meetings usually take place in London, but can be arranged in other locations.

Based on these meetings we draw up a shortlist of preferred candidates to discuss with the Client.

5. Interview with the Client

Two (or sometimes three) candidates are put forward for an interview with the Client.

Client interviews may take place anywhere, though typically they're at the Client's home. Interviewees will get a chance to meet the children and other associated adults. Our Clients pay travel expenses for this meeting.

When the Client has made their final selection, the successful candidate(s) are subject to extensive background screening carried out by an external international security firm.
